Based on study of elastic properties of four structures of 3D angle interlock structure reinforced composites and averaging stiffness theory, A software has been programmed by Matlab and VB to calculate the equivalent engineering elastic constants of the composites, then the paper compares and analyzes academic and experimental results, discusses rules how the various of designing parameters affects the properties.The software developed by this study has a user-friendly interface and dialogue function between people and computer. According to hints given by computer, users input designing parameters and select structures,angles and mechanical models, the elastic properties in different directions would be output by running the software.By comparing academic and experimental results, it can be found that a new geometry analysis model described by warp of rectangle section and weft of lenticular section is similar to the photos. According to different structures, use different property prediction models suggested by paper, accurate prediction results can be obtained.An analysis of prediction results indicates that if designing parameters are changed such as the shapes of cross-section of weft, fiber volume fraction would be affected very much, that the more round the shape, the less the fraction, and vice versa; besides that, if the yarn counts or fabric density increased, the fiber volume fraction turns bigger too. And elastic properties are affected by the fiber properties, the better the fiber properties, the better the composites properties; moreover, if the warp counts increased, the elastic properties in x direction enhance first then fall, and in y direction decrease first then hoist; if the weft counts increased, the elastic properties in x direction enhance and in y direction decrease. The shapes of weft section affects elastic properties too, since the volume fraction predicted by round section is smaller, the properties forecasted is smaller as well. When different shapes of sections get the similar fraction, the elastic properties in x direction predicted by racetrack shape is the biggest. The manners of connect of warp-weaver yarns also affect the elasticproperties, the values of Ex,Ey predicted by parallel connection is bigger than inseries.The theoretical results show that values forecasted by series connection model are the least, by parallel connection model are the most, and by series-parallel connection model are between them, that follows stiffness averaging theory well. Predictions made by series connection model in 0°are apart further from the experimental results, by parallel connection model and the second series-parallel connection model are closer to the experimental results.
