In the eleventh five-year programming it was pointed out definitely that the economic social developing aim of energy consumption reduction of twenty percent of nation total production value should be achieved strively. In oil refinery field, oil and gas are both energy and precious material, so boosting energy economizing in refineries can not only save precious material and reduce cost increase profit but also decrease environment pollution, which is a very important work.In this article, Sinopec Jinan Refinery as a fuel and lubricant type enterprise whose processing size is 350×10~4t/a was dealed with. A full scale optimizing of energy utilization was done in order to improve economic profit, reduce cost and enhance product competition. Based on this, the view and method of energy economizing are presented by author. A feasible scheme is given out based on data analysis and calculation.In this energy optimizing project, 22 items of energy economizing method are presented, including 3 items in ADU/VDU unit, 6 items inⅠFCC unit, 3 items inⅡFCC unit, 1 item in gas fractionation unit, 2 items in storage and carry system, 4 items in water supply and drain system, 3 items in heat and power system.The energy economizing retrofit scheme of ADU/VDU unit is presented and optimized.The energy economizing retrofit scheme of I & II FCC unit is presented and optimized.The energy economizing retrofit scheme of gas fractionation unit is presented and optimized.The energy economizing retrofit scheme of storage and carry system is presented.The implement of low temperature heat utilization project in the refinery is discussed particularly.Through the implement of low temperature heat utilization project, 139.2GJ/h heat was withdrawn from FCC unit which most of it can be used in gas fractionation unit and others can be used in heating during heating seasons or in tank zone during non-heating seasons. At the same time, the consumption of recycle water and electricity in FCC unit declined.The main technic retrofit is the adjusting of heat exchange flow in the unit which doesn't affect the normal production operation.Through the implement of this project, 34t/h steam was saved at Gas fractionation unit, 8t/h steam was saved at tank zone steam traced system. The unit consumption of the refinery declined in evidence.The total investment of this project is 19.8 million RMB. The economic profit can be increased 23.05 million RMB. Invest reclaiming period is short and economic benefit is significant.In general, the construction of this project is necessary, reasonable, and feasible.
