In recent year,with the functionalization technology of carbon nanotubes(CNTs) growing,CNTs have attracted increasing attention in the application of analytical chemistry.The noncovalent functionalization can immobilize molecules on the sidewall of nanotubes without destroying the geometric and electronic structures of the tubes. Small molecules can utilize hydrogen bonds,π-πbond,electrostatic force,the van der Waals force,hydrophobic and hydrophilic role,macromolecular polymer can utilize chain winding to adsorb on the sidewall of CNTs.Noncovalent functionalization of CNTs retained the single components of the performance through synergy.In this paper,three types of polymers(conductive polymer,electroactive polymer and functional polymer) were used to functionalize CNTs,and the corresponding incorporated electrode was prepared and applied.The main achievements obtained in this research include:(1) Dopamine(DA) as a model,a novel electrode with molecular imprinted technology was constructed with polypyrrole(PPy) and multi-wall carbon nanotube (c-MWNT),in which c-MWNT could be as a doping agent to improve the conductivity of the composite membrane and PPy as one of molecular imprinted polymers.It's applications in a selective DA determination were investigated.(2) Noncovalent functionalization of c-MWNT with Py by electropolymerization is studied.A new type of modified electrode with PPy and c-MWNT was constructed.The modified electrode applied to the sensitive and selective determination Cd2+ and Pb2+ owing to PPy have the complexing and molecular recognition for metal ions.(3) Acridine orange(AO) was used to noncovalently functionalize to the sidewall of MWNT by electropolymerization.A new type of dye incorporated MWNT modified electrode was got,and applied to the sensitive and selective determination DA in the presence of AA.(4) A novel modified electrode with PVA and c-MWNT was constructed by using polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) to further functionalize c-MWNT.The modified electrode applied to the sensitive and selective determination Cu2+,benefited from the hydroxyl of PVA having complexation with metal ions and the nature of c-MWNT.
