Trade Liberalization, which plays an important role in economic development all over the world, is an inevitable trend of current international trade development. With economic growth, the problem of environmental pollution faced by human-being is becoming more and more serious. International trade is cited as one of the reasons why the environmental quality is deteriorating, and even the principles of international trade liberalization is subjected to suspicion. Environmental protection has become an important subject in trade development.Since China began to implement the reform and opening policy, China has gradually walked up to the roads of economy marketization and trade liberalization, and gained great advancement. On the other hand, trade liberalization also brings certain pressure to the environment. In our economy, industry accounts for a great proportion not only in GDP but also in foreign trade, especially in the export of industrial finished products. Most of China's industries that have comparative advantages are resource-consuming and labor-intensive, and contaminative to the environment. This thesis adopts the methods of theoretical analysis, empirical study, quantitative analysis, and qualitative analysis to make regression analyses between three industrial wastes and trade liberalization indexes from 1995 to 2005 by using the SPSS software. At last, we concluded that, in general, trade liberalization did more good than bad to China's industrial pollutant discharging. At the same time, we also find the factor of geographic location has an impact on the discharging of China's industrial wastes, and in the course of trade liberalization, the industrial pollutant discharging situation of the eastern part of China is severer than that of the middle and west parts of China.
