The paper combined the Ningbo Jianlong hot strip mill project which belonged to Aritime Intelligent control Co., Ltd. analyzed the working principle of the rolling finishing ,introduced the required hardware to realize automatic gauge control, the author participated in the design of HAGC control cabinet drawing about the finishing mill. Programmed the part of Moniter AGC control procedure, took part in wiring and circuit proofing of the control cabinet in Ningbo Jianlong mill site, discovered and solved the problem of Zero Drift in the displacement sensor . The paper focuses on the eccentricity compensation which is impacting on the HAGC control precision.We proposed dynamic structure of the AGC system with the eccentricity compensation and simplified structure of eccentricity compensation control .The existed problem that applying the signal of eccentricity compensation to the control system directly is analyzed and draw on a conclusion.The limitation of the FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) in practice is discussed , combine the characteristic of the Hanning window in the time domain and the frequency domain . A new method that is used in the process of eccentricity signal extraction where the spectrum leakage occurred in is offered. This method is named interpolation method of FFT based on the Harming window.
