P-methyl xylyl alcohol(P-MXA) as important organic fine chemical intermediates is widely used in the synthesis of pharmaceutical drugs,pesticide,chemical engineering,etc. Used mainly in the synthesis of plastifier,pesticide,perfume.There are many reports on the synthetic methods of P-MXA,it was mainly obtained by the reduction of p-methyl benzaldehyde(P-MBA).1,4-Naphthoquinone(1,4-NQ) as an important intermediate of pharmaceutical drugs,colourant,perfume,pesticide,plastifier is used mainly in the synthesis of anthraquinone(AQ),tetra- hyanthraquinone,1-aminoanthraquinone.Moreover,1,4-NQ is also a better antiseptic and bacteriocide,coenzymeQ0(CoQ0)is significant intermediate for synthesis of coenzymeQ10 and idebenone and is available in nervous system disorder sickness treatment too.Mesoporous catalyst is inorganic porous material for port-hole regulations and pore size between 2nm and 50nm,it take the surface active agent as the template and form through organic matter and inorganic substance contact surface function assembly production. Repeatability and environment-protective of the mesoporous catalyst causes it to become gradually the research hot spot in the catalyzed oxidation domain.In addition,mesoporous materials have many potential applications due to their uniform pore size,large specific surface area,large pore volume,and the catalyst separates easily with the compound.In the oxidation reaction,the decomposed product of hydrogen peroxide is free-environment,so it is green oxidant.The paper use a new type catalyzed oxidation system(mesoporous catalyst- hydrogen peroxide) and optimize the reaction conditions(kinds of solvents and catalysts,reaction temperature,reaction time,the amount of H2O2 and catalyst),we oxidize the cheap P-xylene (PX) to P-MXA with high conversion(100%) and high selectivity(90.1%) for the first time. The blank catalyst and recycled catalyst experiment confirm the catalyst with remarkable activity and the catalytic activity nearly keep the same using several times.We expect to provide a high efficient,environment-protective,economic and simple synthetic route with the experiments. We use the same method to synthesize 1,4-NQ and CoQ0,the selectivity of 1,4-NQ and CoQ0 is 98.9%,45.6%respectively and the conversion of 1-naphthol(1-NT) and 3,4,5-trimethoxy toluene(TMT) is 84.1%,94.8%respectively.we achieve the prospective effect.
