Magnetic magnetite nanoparticles always exhibit some individual applications because of their unique physical and chemical properties,and have extensive applications, such as magnetic recording,ferrofluids,catalysis,medicine,pigment and etc.But it is difficult to prevent the nanoparticles' agglomeration.In this paper,we study on deeply the magnetic nanoparticles to obtain the best parameter for the preparation of nanoparticles with good monodispersity and small diameter of the product.Co-precipitation method was introduced to synthesize Fe3O4 nanoparticles,the orthogonal-designing method was used to design the experiment.The experiment was carried out in the presence of ammonia as precipitant.Two factors with four levels were considered in the experiment in order to know the influences of different factors on the average diameter of Fe3O4 nanoparticles,which were the stirring speed,the ratio of Fe3+/Fe2+ and so on.After we get a more appropriate technological parameter,change the amount of dispersant polyethylene glycol,then an array of experiments were carried out under the condition pH=9 and the curing temperature equal to 70℃.The Fe3O4 nanoparticles was characterized by transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction.The results showed that the Fe3O4 nanoparticles exhibited good dispersion and small diameter under 10nm,when the molar ratio of nFe3+/nFe2+ is 1.8:1, the reaction temperature of catalyst is 70℃,the reaction time of catalyst is 30min,the stirring rate is 800r/min,pH is about 9 in the presence of ammonia as precipitant and the amount of dispersant is 1.50g/ml.
