Supermolecular coordination polymer attracts a lot of attention for the potential application in magnetism, catalysis, optical material, and porous material. Rational selection of organic ligands is an important aspect in the synthesis of coordination polymer. Rigid ligands such as benzoic acid, phthalic acid (o, m, p), 1,3,5-benzen tricarboxylic acid, 1,10-Phenanthroline, 2,2′-dipyridine, 4,4′-dipyridine have been widely used but flexible ligands containing N, S hetero cycles atoms are few researched. For learning the characters of them, we use some such ligands: Htza (Tetrazole-1-acetic acid), Hatma ((5-Amino-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-ylthio)acetic acid), H2tzda ((1,3,4-thiadiazole-2,5-diyldithio)diacetic acid ) as ligands to react with metal ions to prepare several series of complexes with flexible carboxylic acid.(1) Three copper complexes with Tetrazole-1-acetic acid [Cu4(OH)2(tza)6·3.5H2O]∞(1), [Cu(tza)2]∞(2) and [Cu(tza)](3). Two complexes with Tetrazole-1-acetic acid and phenanthroline [Cu(tza)(phen)(H2O)]2(NO3)2·4H2O(4) and [Fe2(tza)2(phen)2(CH3OH)2(OH)](NO3)2·H2O(5).(2) Two polymorph complexes with (5-Amino-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-ylthio)acetic acid and 2,2′-dipyridine [(Cu(atma)(bipy)Cl)]2 (6),[(Cu(atma) (bipy)Cl)]2·H2O (7).(3) One chiral linear polymer with H2tzda (1,3,4-thiadiazole-2,5-diyldithio)diacetic acid , [Co(tzda)(H2O)4]∞(8).Synthesis, crystal structure, magnetism and other properties of the above compouds are studied and discussed.
