Carbon nanotubes have the properties of nanometer structure,the high length to diameter ratio,high surface area,big surface energy and superficial binding energy.It has been proved that multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWNTs) consist of up to dozens of concentrical graphite tubes wrapped one inside another like a coaxial cable. Therefore the properties of their surfaces would be like graphite.So MWNTs can adsorb and fill the grain,while the chemical stability is still good,they can serve as the catalyst carrier,and has become the research hotspot worldwide.The MWNTs loaded catalyst may enhance the surface area of the active constitutes greatly,this is the solution to the conventional catalysts' low catalytic activity.This paper prepares composite catalyst with nanometer titanium dioxide and nanometer nickel,using MWNTs as carrier.The contents of this paper conclude:1,Preparation of composite catalyst TiO2/VCNTs and the study of its photo-catalysis propertyWe adopt the hydrolysis method,using TiC14 as the raw material to make nanometer TiO2.Then prepare TiO2/CNTs composite catalyst using MWNTs as the carrier.Finally we study the influence factors on the photo-catalysis property of the composite catalyst.2,Preparation of composite catalyst Pt/TiO2/CNTs and the study of oxidation of methanolTo Reduce hexachloroplatinum acid with this composite materials in the glycol, then we produce nanometer Pt particles on the loaded MWNTs,that is the preparation process of Pt/TiO2/CNTs.Then we study its electro-catalysis oxidation property on methanol.3,Preparation of composite catalyst Ni/CNTs and its characterizationUsing glycol as reducing agent,nickel acetate as precursor,then calcining,we get nanometer nickel particles.Adopting the similar method,we mix MWNTs,nickel acetate and CTAB in glycol,heat the mixture,then calcine,we get composite Ni/CNTs.Finally we test the properties of this composite material.
