With the rapid development of economy and society, water pollution and water shortage got continously serious and restrained Chinese economic and social development. The main sources of water pollution were sewage and industrial wastewater. In recent years, waste drainage of industry had been effectively controlled with the increasingly stringent environmental standards and the constantly strengthened law enforcement dynamics; through the continuous construction of urban sewage treatment plants, there were relatively high sewage collection and treatment rate in urban, which played an important role in protecting urban eco-environment. Due to the scattered residential model and laggard environmental infrastructure in rural areas, sewage was disorderly discharged without effective treatment, which leaded to the deterioration of water quality in ground and surface. Then the safety of rural residents' drinking water, and the health of rural residents were seriously endangered for water pollution. To solve the water pollution problem in rural areas, it was important to develop a sewage treatment technology for the decentralized sewage, which had less construction area, better treatment effect, lower capital investment and operation cost. And it had great significance to apply and extend this sewage treatment technology, which could improve the present situation of water pollution, protect the ecological environment, balance urban and rural development and accelerate the construction of new socialist rural areas.This paper was focused on the application study on sewage self-purification system of capillary moistening in villages. Through the comparative study of sewage treatment projects in Liangquanxinyuan and Xisongyuan, which had applied this technology, a detailed analysis about the effect of temperature, pretreatment methods and operation modes to sewage removal efficiency was carried out. Then some important technical parameters could be provided for optimizing engineering design. And there were six chapters in this paper:The source of topic research, background, significance, purpose and chief contents were summarized in the first chapter;The characteristics of rural sewage, requiements and models for sewage treatment were studied in the second chapter. What's more, research progress at home and abroad of decentralized system for sewage treatment were summarized.The basic characteristics, applicable conditions and research progress at home and abroad of Sewage self-purification system of capillary moistening were summarized in the third chapter. And the influencing factors to removal efficiency of Sewage self-purification system of capillary moistening were analyzed.The sewage treatment projects in Liangquanxinyuan and Xisongyuan, which applied Sewage self-purification system of capillary moistening were described in the fourth chapter.The removal efficiency and influencing factors of COD, NH3-N, TP and SS were studied through comparative analysis of sewage treatment projects in Liangquanxinyuan and Xisongyuan in the fifth chapter.The results of the application study on Sewage self-purification system of capillary moistening were analyzed, and the suggestions for the advanced work were put forward in the sixth chapter.
