The effect of soluting and aging treatment on microstructure and mechanical properties of Cu-Co-Be alloy which was treated by hot-forging was studied by hardness test,,tensile test,conductance measurement,optical microscope,SEM,TEM and X-ray diffraction phase analysis.Based on the result of upward research,the optimal heat treatment was determined. the dynamics equation of alloy were established on basis of Avrami empirical equation.The improvement of yield strength was calculated on the quantitative measurement of CoBe phase by XRD analysis.1. The best heat treatment of Cu-Co-Be alloy in as-cast is 920℃/1h solution, quenching in water at room temperature, then ageing at 450℃for 4h. At this condition, tensile strength, yield strength, specific elongation, hardness and electrical conductivity of the alloy is 712MPa, 445MPa,15.6%,211HB,39.3%IACS respectively.2. The best heat treatment of forged Cu-Co-Be alloy is 920℃/1h solution, quenching in water at room temperature, then ageing at 450℃for 4h. At this condition, tensile strength, yield strength, specific elongation, hardness and electrical conductivity of the alloy is 735MPa, 481MPa,4.9%,217HB,39.9%IACS respectively.3. The strengthen mechanism of Cu-Co-Be alloy in as-cast is precipitation strengthening which contributes to the dispersion of CoBe phase.We can know the mass fraction of precipitated CoBe phase is 1.23% after treating at peak aging by the quantitative calculation of X-ray diffraction phase analysis.Meanwhile the calculated improvement of yield strength is close to the experimental value.The strengthen mechanism of forged Cu-Co-Be alloy includes fine grain strengthening except the precipitation strengthening of CoBe phase.4.
