The Ta-W alloy billets with different tungsten content were fabricated by powder metallurgy technology.Ta-W alloy foils with different thickness were gained through repeated annealing and cold-rolling.The microstructure and property of Ta-W alloy foil were analyzed by optical microscope,scanning electron microscope observation,X-ray diffraction analysis and mechanical properties measurement.The conclusions were obtained as follows:1.Double sintering was applied to prepare the Ta-2.5wt%W alloy billet,in which the density of it was greater than 98%,and triple sintering for Ta-5.0wt%W and Ta-7.5wt%W billets were applied,in which the densities were also greater than 98%.The crystal lattice of Ta-W alloy decreases with the increase of tungsten content.2.With tungsten content increasing,the micro-hardness of alloy Ta-W increases.That of Ta-2.5wt%W alloy cold-rolled can approach 242HV,that of Ta-5.0wt%W alloy can approach 260HV,while that of Ta-7.5wt%W alloy can approach 300HV.3.The temperature of recrystallization for Ta-W alloy increases with the increase tungsten content.The recrystallization temperature of Ta-2.5wt%W alloy is 1050℃,and recrystallization is completed at 1360℃.The recrystallization temperature of Ta-5.0wt%W alloy is 1200℃,and that of Ta-7.5wt%W alloy is about 1360℃.4.The strength of Ta-W alloy foil is high,the tensile strength of Ta-7.5wt%W alloy foil is higher than 700MPa.The elongation,tensile strength and yield strength of the sample in the rolling direction is higher than that in the transverse direction.5.The main texture of cold-rolled Ta-W alloy is {001}<110>, {112}<110> and {111}<110>.As the annealing temperature is lower than 1200℃,the texture of {001}<110> increases and the texture of {112}<110> decreases.While annealing at 1360℃,the texture of {001}<110> decreases rapidly,the texture of {112} <110> increases.
