Ionic liquids, also called room temperature ionic liquids, room temperature molten salts, organic ionic liquids, etc, it is a liquid substance formed by ions at room temperature or near room temperature. It is well-know that ionic liquids are widely applied in the catalysis, synthesis and purification for its uniquely excellent properties, such as negligible vapor pressure, low melting point, wide liquid range, strong electrostatic field, thermal stability, selective solvency and designability. The application of ionic liquids in synthesis of nano-catalyst is becoming a new hot topic with great research potential.In this paper, we used ultrasound as a auxiliary method, and experiments show that the use of ultrasound can well inhibit the phenomenon of agglomeration. Furthermore, we also combined ionic liquids with microwave which show that both of ionic liquids and microwave are significantly effect on the synthesis of nano-materials. When combination happened, the reaction time was greatly shortened, obtained different morphologies of micro/nano materials. This method can also inhibited aggregation phenomenon perfectly.On the basis of traditional micro-nano cerium oxide, lanthanum oxide preparation process, we selected various precipitants, dispersants, aids, etc for comparison, and synthesized special morphology of the micro/nano-oxides.we studied the effects of different reaction conditon on the preparation of nano-catalys, characterized ionic liquids and products by XRD, FT-IR, SEM and Laser Diffraction, etc. and the possible formation mechanism was also discussed.
