Two-roll continuous casting was a complicated process of metal concreting and forming. The metal had to finish the solidifying process continuously in one side and it has plastic deformation under draught pressure during the roll casting process in another side. It was mutual influenced and restricted between them, and it was a technical process including many non-linear factors. Research on temperature field and stress field of the roller and casting blank in the two-roll continuous casting process by modern numerical simulating technology was very useful for the development of casting theory and technology.Based on the large finite element software MSC.Marc, the thermal-stress coupling model of two-roll continuous casting process was established in this paper. The two-dimensional thermal-stress coupling of two-roll continuous casting has been molded using material rheologic constitutive model and the interface thermal contact conductance model between roller and casting blank. The temperature field and stress field of roller and casting blank during two-roll continuous casting have been analyzed, and the changing law of temperature and stress field of casting blank under different casting velocity, thickness of the cast blank and coefficient of heat conductivity ware studied in this paper. It was found out that the temperature and stress distribution appeared the so-called skin effect during the roll casting process. The stress field of the casting blank in the rolling zone has much relation with the physics, geometry factors of the casting blank and the temperature, casting technics, etc. The simulation results almost matched with many industry phenomena, which can offer technological guidance in our practical production in a certain extent.
