For the past few years, China is vigorously advocating the energy-saving and cost-reducing. Reducing the electric consumption of aeration is urgent. The activated sludge has been largely used in the treatment of domestic and industrial wastewater since early last century to now. This wastewater treatment is considered as the most popular treatment with some advantages. However, the aeration process consumes 55%~ 65% of the energy of the whole activated sludge system. Because of the difference of the conception of environment and the operating mechanism, there is a long distance between China and other developed countries on the energy consumption of every ton wastewater. And since the wastewater treatment is a complex system with large delay, it's difficult to control. Targeting on these issues, based on a predictive algorithms and the nonlinear control, related researches are studied, and works are presented as follow:1. Introduce the main process of the activated sludge and the Soft-measuring methods. Based on the testing data from the wastewater treatment plant, support vector regression is used to establish a model of prediction, which results in relatively high accuracy and conducive to the proper adjustment of the aeration.2. Elaborate the main two control methods of the aeration and propose a predictive control method based on the control system in the wastewater treatment plant.3. The thesis introduces the current situation and hardware of Chengdu No. 1 wastewater treatment plant aeration system. It explains that the current system is a regulation system of singularity circuit and fixes value, and it is made up with controller, dissolved oxygen sensors, and the blowers. After that, it proposes a new hardware plan to actualize the control method proposed.4. Analysis the ASM model of the activated sludge system, establish a target for the control of DO concentration in the nonlinear control model, and of simulate the methods and the other two methods, to prove that the control method proposed is better than the other methods. 5. In conclude that the introduction of the system, dissolved oxygen, flow, cascade control, and the system uses the predictive nonlinear control method and proves that the aeration system, the aeration flow will be reduced and the energy consumption of the aeration system will be reduced.
