| Conceptual design stage plays an important role in the design of car bodies, and the main differences between the concept models are the representation method of the joint model. The joint controls 60% of the whole stiffness of the car which is a very important part of the car body. For this, I do some researches on the joint model of the car body.In this paper, we take Joint B as an example and establish the detailed finite element joint model and the rigid-connection joint model. At the same time, using the super element joint model to replace the detailed finite element joint model is proposed. And it confirms the exactitude of the super element joint model by the results of the three models under the nine conditions. In order to verify the effectiveness of the super element joint model, we put it into the simplified car body model. And we establish four kinds of simplified car body models which are detailed car body FE model(model I), car body simplified model with beams and detailed joints(model II), car body simplified model with beams and super element joints(model III) and car body simplified model with rigid-connection joints(model IV).Then we do static analysis and model analysis to the four models. Through the contrast between the results of the bending stiffnesses, torsion stiffnesses and frequncy, we get a conclusion that the joint flexibility has an effect on the stiffness of the car body and the super element joint model can model the detailed FE joint model accurately. |
