In this paper, power system transient quantitative analysis software (FASTEST) and the whole process of power system simulation software, based on the data of China Southern Power Grid in 2015, through the static, transient, the whole process in three ways to introduce voltage stability simulation research and analysis.(1) Voltage stability study described the background and significance of voltage stability leads to the definition of both static and dynamic description of the mechanism of voltage instability, Finally, Introduced voltage static, transient, the whole process of three kinds of principles and methods of voltage stability.(2) Basic static analysis of voltage mode, the trend according to the system Jacobian matrix reduction, reduction by calculating the minimum norm Jacobian matrix eigenvalue and the corresponding bus participation factor, generating participation factor, line participation factor. Determine the impact of network security key to load bus voltage, line and unit to determine the relative weakness of the regional power grid, and corresponding compensation measures weak nodes are verified by simulation effectively improve the minimum values of the system to improve the system static voltage stable level.(3) Use of quantitative power system transient analysis software, through the fault of the system closed under a variety of DC voltage security analysis, to find out the minimum safety margin corresponding to the corresponding node voltage bus and the whole network according to N-1 fault voltage scanning to identify the most affected voltage stability margin of the fault line and the corresponding bus node, and finally the tide line and the structural parameters under take comprehensive measures of compensation, such as the installation of SVC, shunt reactive power compensation and other measures. Simulation results show that the compensated voltage safety margin has been increased, while the corresponding bus voltage levels have improved, raising the level of power system voltage stability.(4) Use of the whole process of power system analysis software for various faults and load tap out, input from the system voltage characteristics of the whole process, the simulation found that the addition of load voltage regulation, in some cases can significantly improve the quality of bus voltage. But to join properly, in some cases, severe fluctuations of certain bus, stability becomes worse, or even instability. Transformer tap settings also adjust parameters of selection with the system architecture and fault type is also a relationship, not only can not play properly select good voltage regulation, but also the voltage quality deterioration may cause severe system voltage collapse.
