Independent photovoltaic system for the current short storage battery life, system reliability is not high, the adaptive function is poor, single-function products and dependence on imports and other issues, the paper battery using the SOC law, the use of pulse charging, temperature compensation and MCU design a new type of independent photovoltaic system controller, so that will not happen over-discharge battery, extended battery life, improved system reliability and expand the controller to enhance the applicability of the system can be alternative to similar products abroad.The current situation of Photovoltaie systems(PVsystems) is introduced at first, and then basic concepts, theories, and components of PV systems are discussed in this paper., discussed the characteristics of solar cells and batteries respectively at the same time.Secondly, discussing the key technologies of the photovoltaic systems, comparating and researching the methods to improve the conversion rate of PV systems, discussing PV systems should have the function of the controller in theory:controlling the storage battery charge and discharge,tracking position and a high degree of the sun,tracing the solar cell maximum power point.Finally,using the most common and preferred valve-regulated lead-acid battery (VRLA) independent photovoltaic system for study, using SOC law, designing a new type of independent photovoltaic system controller by using pulse charging, temperature compensation and MCU technology,put forward a technical planning, given the specific hardware and software design and implementation process, by independent testing photovoltaic lighting system and normal running, achieved the expected results, concluded that the design feasible have a certain degree of theoretical and practical value.
