At the present time lithium-ion batteries as protective environment electrical source in 21 century have been drawn close attention because of their wide application prospect. The olivine-type LiFePO4 as a kind of cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries has received much attention due to its low cost, environmental merit, high specific capacity and thermal stability at high temperature, cycle stability, therefore, it is considered as one of the most promising candidates of cathode materials for lithium ion batteries. And the soft packaging lithium ion battery includes the advantage of liquid lithium-ion battery and polymer lithium-ion battery.In this paper, LiFePO4 was taken as the positive electrode materials, to produce the soft packaging lithium-ion battery, and study the performance of the lithium-ion battery. The preparation of the electrode on the performance of LiFePO4 cathode materials, and the formation, different charge-discharge rate system, the outside temperature on the performance of the flexible lithium-ion battery were focused to study.In this paper, the comparison analysis of the different doses of the electrical conductivity, the binder and the roll-in base affected the performance of the LiFePO4 cathode.The manufacturing processes of the flexible packaging lithium-ion battery were simply narrated. After the stepped formation and the constant formation, the performances of the lithium ion battery were compared to analysis. The results showed that the specific capacity of lithium ion battery charged by the constant current system was higher than that of stepped system about 3mAh/g, and whole charging and discharging efficiency is also slightly high. The analysis of XPS measure showed, the thickness of the SEI membranes in the CMS surface was greater than 3nm, the battery after stepped formation system were more complicated than that of the constant current formation. In this paper, the existing problems of the manufacturing process in the lithium-ion battery were simply analyzed. And the performance of the lithium-ion battery was analyzed and described for the different ratio of the positive electrode and negative electrode.For the performance of the lithium-ion battery at high-low temperature, the result showed, when the temperature was 0℃,20℃and 40℃, the average discharge specific capacity of the lithium-ion battery was more and more high under the conditions of 0.5C rate charging and discharging 30 times. But to 60℃, the discharging specific capacity of lithium-ion battery dropped to 0, because of the flatulence. From the EIS of the half cell measures showed, with increasing temperature, the better was the electrochemical performance of the cathode. However, in the condition of the high temperature, the decrement of the lithium-ion battery showed the inner of the lithium-ion battery existed many problems. From the XPS analysis, the components of the SEI membrance in the surface of the lithium-ion battery were not the same.
