As the rise of people's living standard, environmental protection has become the theme. The lighting, which is related to people's daily life, has been joining into the ranks of the green environmental protection. People have constantly enhanced lighting requirements in the design of architectural decoration, which makes the choice of lights and lighting design more and more scientific, artistic, and green. As a new light with high luminous efficiency, high color, high light stability, no flicker, long life and meeting the environmental requirements, Electrodeless Discharge Lamp came into being. Compared with other kinds of lights, Electrodeless Discharge Lamp is more energy-saving and environmentally friendly. The hurt to people's body and mental is less. Particularly as its feature with no strobe, the hurt to people's eyes is zero. But for the Electrodeless Discharge Lamp, there is no proper illumination calculation software to help it enter the market. Therefore, it's necessary to tailor a suitable illumination calculation software for Electrodeless Discharge Lamp to help the manufacturers develop new markets, also to make a contribution to the state and society in energy-saving and environmental protection.This paper studied the model design and simulation effects of Electrodeless Discharge Lamp illumination calculation. First it analyzes the characteristics of the lamp, with comparing with other kinds of lamps. According to the characteristics, this paper analyzes the illumination method of calculation and establishes the illumination calculation model for the Electrodeless Discharge Lamp.Secondly, this paper designs the illumination computing system for the Electrodeless Discharge Lamp by the model established with the help of the computer simulation technology. The system implements a simple illumination calculation of the Electrodeless Discharge Lamp, which can get the number and average intensity of light, simulation the results with data and pictures, and compare with fluorescent lamps, high pressure sodium lamp, and LED Light with giving the data and illumination maps.Third, this paper verified the feasibility of illumination calculation model and the availability computing systems by the experiment.
