Now, the time stepping finite element method is often used to solve the non-sinusoidal electromagnetic field of Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor (PMLSM) which fed by inverter. Its result is very accurate, but it must cost much time. The paper is focused on the non-sinusoidal electromagnetic field analytical model. Based on the whole layer linear model, tooth-slot equivalent with anisotropic body, the primary and secondary driving source equivalent with space-time driving source are presented. The equivalents not only consider almost all major physical structure characteristics of PMLSM but solve the move problem. The space-time three dimension electromagnetic field model is set up.Then use separation of variables and space Fourier Transforms (FT) to solve the space-time three dimension transient electromagnetic field of PMLSM fed by sinusoidal current source and six pulses current source inverter (6P-CSI),and calculate thrust force when the mover entry and exit the stator. The results of two current sources are compared and time stepping finite element method is used to testify the results. The paper uses circuit-field coupled time stepping finite element method to solve the non-sinusoidal electromagnetic field fed by voltage source. The electromagnetic field of PMLSM fed by pulse width modulated voltage source inverter (SPWM-VSI) is solved by FEM, and the non-sinusoidal electromagnetic fields fed by CSI and VSI are compared. Finally, the paper does some experiments to testify the model.
