PV power generation system is divided into off-grid PV system , stand-alone PV system and mixed PV power generation system, especially stand-alone PV system which can not only provide electricity for remote areas far from power grids, but also be fit for small portable devices, that has positive significance for the improvement of people's living standards. There are mainly crystal silicon cell and amorphous silicon thin film cell using in PV power generation at this stage. Comparing with crystal silicon, amorphous silicon thin film cell has low efficiency, but it has low temperature coefficient and is good at the low light, so the time to generate electricity is longer than the crystal silicon to.The test system is designed to measure PV cell's characteristics using ss2622AAA steady-state solar simulator based on the working principle of solar cell. For amorphous silicon thin film cell, the output voltages, current and conversion efficiency are measured under 200 W/㎡, 400 W/㎡, 600 W/㎡, 800 W/㎡, 1000 W/㎡ irradiance and amorphous silicon thin film cell's output characteristics are analyzed.PV power generation and battery's capacity are designed and the whole structure of 3kw stand-alone PV system is constructed. The hardware of system is selected and the detail parameters are given. Finally, the system's engineering construction is completed and it is used in practice, analyzing the PV module conversion efficiency, inverter AC output power, MPPT voltage under different irradiance and MPPT voltage at various temperatures by gathering experimental data, which prove that the system has rationality and high reliability.
