De watering settlement of bottom aquifer in the thick alluvium because supplying water is insufficient. As a result, non-uniform settlement between soil and shaft lining gives rise to vertical additional force outside surface of the shaft lining. With the depth of shaft increasing, this strength becomes larger gradually and achieves the maximum at the interface between soil and bedrock. when the strength criterion of shaft lining break under the complex stress condition, The shaft lining is fractured. This is the project background of thesis. On the basis of the rock mechanical testing system of Henan polytechnic University, we process a simple shear apparatus which is suitable for the high stress test. This system consists of the main part, the measurement system, the control system and the data processing system. It can realize the auto-loading, the automatic control, Real Time Data Acquisition, dynamic demonstration, plotting graph and so on. Utilizing this testing system, a series simple shear test under high stress of interface between gravelly sand, coarse sand, medium sand, fine sand and steel (concrete) is carried on. According to the testing data, the author analyzes the relationship of the shearing stress and shearing displacement, the relation of the volumetric strain and shearing displacement. On these basis, the author discusses the constitutive law of interface under the high stress, the interface element and the Strength criterion of interface; Through the variance analysis and visual analysis of the orthogonal experiment data, the influent factors of shearing strength, the initial shearing stiffness and the grain breakage degree are analyzed. The initial discussion about the effect of water content on the interface shearing property was done meantime, some suggestion on the further study of this research topic.
