Live load standard plays a significant role in design of the High-Speed Railway Bridge, because it can affect the strength, stiffness and service performance of the bridge. Extra resource and material would be wasted if the selected live load is too heavy, while the safety and performance of the bridge would be threatened if the selected live load is too light. As bridges are main parts of High-Speed Railway's civil engineering, so a reasonable live load not only affects safety, applicability, economy, durability and beauty of the bridge, but also influences the designing and constructing of the whole High-Speed Railway engineering.Through an in-depth study about the history and current situation of Chinese High-Speed Railway Bridge's live load standard, it is found that there are various problems exist in the formulate process of live load. Based on a series of small and medium-span bridges which occupy a distinctly important part in Chinese High-Speed Railway bridge, a discussion and research on live load standards is carred out in the thesis. The main works is as follows:1. Summarizing the problems of Chinese High-Speed Railway Bridge's live load standard;2. Collecting typical high-speed vehicles that current operated in High-Speed Railway in the world, their main characteristics are introduced and analyzed;3. Comparing and researching High-Speed Railway Bridge's live load standards in the world;4. Based on a series of small and medium-span bridges in Chinese High-Speed Passenger Railway, including simply supported beams with standard spans of 20m,24m,32m and continuous beams with standard spans of 32+40+32m,40+56+40m,40+64+40m,40+72+40m, 48+80+48m,60+100+60m, through analysis of effects of support reaction, internal force and deformation etc. under current operated vehicles and live load in High-Speed Railway in world, a research on the live load standard of Chinese High-Speed Passenger Railway Bridge is carried out;5. Based on a series of small and medium-span bridges in Chinese High-Speed Passenger and Freight mixed Railway, including simply supported beams with standard spans of 20m,24m,32m,40m and continuous beams with standard spans of 32+40+32m,32+48+32m, 40+56+40m,40+64+40m,48+80+48m,60+100+60m, through analysis of effects of support reaction, internal force and deformation etc. under current operated vehicles, C-R live load and UIC live load, a research on the live load standard of Chinese High-Speed Passenger and Freight mixed Railway Bridge is carried out.
