With the rapid development of transportation business, the emphases of expressway construction in our country are transferred from poorer circumstances plain terrain to adverse circumstances mountain terrain. Because the expressway in mountain terrain has especial line style and traffic load character, rutting,crack and other functional and structural destruction will occur prematurely, especially in large longitudinal slope section. Therefore, combining with the character of northeast seasonal frost region mountain terrain expressway, to grow up large longitudinal slope section asphalt pavement design and construction key technology research has great significance and useing value of carrying out this study.This paper analyzed the structural destruction character and load character of the expressway asphalt pavement in northeast seasonal frost region mountain terrainfirstly, then taking the pavement structure of chang-hun expressway as the research object, the paper studied the mechanical response of large longitudinal slope asphalt pavement structure under the vertical load and horizontal load with the pavement design software of Bisar 3.0.detailedly, and emphatically studied the influence of line longitudinal gradient i and pavement horizontal load indexf on structure mechanical index. On this basis, this paper deeply studied the structure design control index,structure types,set of the special structure layers,pavement thickness and structure material combination of seasonal frost region large longitudinal slope asphalt pavement, and put forward the corresponding design requirement. According to the bailey method gradation design principle, the paper reasonably optimized the pavement mixture gradation of Chang-Hui expressway large longitudinal slope section, and the test results of laboratory and road entitative engineering both showed that BLSMA-16 mixture using bailey method is better than traditional SMA-16 mixture in all pavement performance. At the same time, this paper deeply analyzed the raw material quality control,mixture production quality control,paving,rolling and construction quality inspection and etc in the process of constructing BLSMA-16 and provided fine experience and references to asphalt mixture construction of large longitudinal slope in our country's seasonal frost region.
