As an important part of building structure, joint is not only the central hub of structure transfer and distribution internal force, but also plays an important role in keeping the structural integrity when structure goes into the elastic-plastic working period. The failure of joint will usually cause the collapse of the whole building structure. Therefore, it is necessary to fully analyze and study the working mechanism of joint. By taking measures from the aspects of strength calculation and ductility tectonic, and it will make joint satisfy the requirements of normal use and seismic fortification.This paper discussed the steel fiber reinforced high-strength concrete frame exterior joints by experimental research and finite element analysis, and the main contents are as follows:(1) By studying the three steel fiber reinforced concrete frame joints reduced scale model low cyclic reversed loading and nonlinear finite element analysis, it discussed the influence of axial compression ratio upon the frame joint ductility, energy dissipation capacity and stiffness degradation. The result shows that, with the increase of column end axial compression ratio, the energy dissipation capacity of frame joints also improves.(2) Based on the experimental result of the steel fiber reinforced frame beam-column exterior joint, and by setting the force model of steel fiber joint by nonlinear finite element program, it discussed the influence of axial compression ratio upon the frame joint ductility, energy dissipation capacity and stiffness degradation, and brought forward the rational finite element model of the steel fiber reinforced frame beam-column exterior joint, and the finite analysis result coincides well with the experimental result.(3) It comprehensively considered the main parameters influence the joint core area shearing bearing capacity. It brought the calculation formula of joint core shear bearing capacity, and the theoretical analysis result coincides well with experimental result.
