In this paper, TiO2 nanocrystalline film was made on FTO substrates and N719and chlorophyll were selected to be sensitizer. The structure parameters as filmthickness and annealing temperature and process parameters as dye concentrationand sensitizing time were studied, the optimal process parameters were obtained. The samples annealed at 350℃,450℃and 550℃were measured with XRDtechnique, the results show that the optimum annealing temperature was 450℃,since the content of anatase phase was maximum when TiO2 was annealed at 450℃.UV-visible absorption spectra were obtained, the result shows that themaximum absorbance emerged when the sample was annealed at 450℃; filmthickness has direct impact on the dye adsorption capacity, which in turn affected theabsorbance. When the film thickness was increased, the adsorption significantlyenhanced. The absorbance of the N719 dye-sensitized samples was tested and calculated. The best sensitization process was obtained through analyzing the photoelectricproperties of different soaking process. The analysis of photoelectric properties shows that, the more effective theadsorption is, the better the optical performance. If film thickness was thicker thanthe optimal thickness, the photoelectric properties deteriorated.Research results showed that if the counter electrode was coated with graphite, better photoelectric properties and lower dark current could be obtained since itincreased the charge exchange efficience of the counter electrode, so as to reducedthe recombination probability of the electron in conduction band of TiO2.
