Chinese economy has experienced a rapid development for more than 30 years, and the automotive industry has been occupying a pivotal position in the process of economic construction. At present, the home used automobile is becoming more and more popular, which followed by the heavy pressure imposed by the traditional fossil energy. Besides, the exhaust produced by internal combustion engine results in serious environmental pollution. Energy efficiency and energy conservation has never been such great importance. Therefore, under the two big crisis premises of energy and the environment, the development of cleaner and efficient combustion, as well as the development of cleaner alternative fuels, it becomes around the corner. But in the internal combustion engine research process, the numerical simulation enjoys researcher's favor by its unique reliability and the efficiency. In this paper, we had used CHEMKIN software package, combined with the energy equation and quality, as well as a number of sub-model, has established a relatively complete multi-zone combustion model for the calculation of HCCI combustion engine. it was calculated as the use of dimethyl ether, methane and n-heptane-fueled HCCI combustion process, all calculations have been based on detailed chemical kinetics of fuel mechanism. And simulation results are compared with experimental results. And a comparative study was carried out to clarify the effect of various sub-models on predictability of the multi-zone model. The influences from the mass of the zone distribution, the initialization of the temperature, boundary layer thickness, crevice layer size, fuel air equivalence ratio and different zone distribution model on HCCI engine combustion and emissions were analyzed. The results indicate that the demarcation of the mass is small to computed result's influence; the initial temperature of a reasonable set in simulation models can improve accuracy; boundary layer model crevice layer size, fuel air equivalence ratio has a great impact on experimental results also, but different fuel has different impact; and different zone model results also have an impact, especially outside core area's further segmentation, will cause the computed result and the actual value is closer. However, the different fuel under the dissimilar condition regarding the different resultant's influence.
