As a new energy, wind power have been used widely.With the maturement of wind power technology and the expansion of the scale of wind farms, the influence brought by large wind farms connected to power systems has become greater and greater, which has become a great obstacle to large-scale wind power development. How to achieve steady running of wind power connected grid and the minimum of impact to power quality, being focus of the study in wind power.In this paper, the main type of wind turbine DFIG(Doubly-Fed Induction Generator), the derivation of dynamic equation and static equation in synchronous rotating coordinate system, establishing the mathematical model of DFIG. Voltage fluctuation caused wind turbines connected grid have great harm to the system, reducing voltage fluctuation caused wind turbines connected grid to safty and steady running is very important the system. DFIG connected grid running need to absorb lots of reactive power, therefore the export of the wind farm required reactive power compensation, applyed STATCOM for reactive power compensation, reducd voltage fluctuation and maintained steady running of system take on important signification. Analyzed the working principle of the STATCOM and established the mathematical model and designed related parameters. Compared the direct current control and indirect current control methods. Then introduces indirect current control method which is simply of structurement and superior performance, regulating with excellect effection. Wind turbines connected grid containing STATCOM simulation, simulation results show that the STATCOM effective damp voltage fluctuation in wind power connected grid.
