A solid state high frequency induction heating power supply using power MOSFETs is studied. Compared with parallel resonant scheme, series resonant scheme is adopted. By comparision of various methods for power regulation. A Buck converter scheme is adopted. Various power devices are compared with each other.Power MOSFETs are employed as the switches of the power supply. The parametersof the main circuit are calculated. The high frequency transformer is designed.Thecontrol circuits, the drive circuits and the protective circuits are designed. Thoseensures minimum switching losses, maximum power transfer and good efficiency. The experimental results are presented and analyzed.
