MH/N1 battery has achieved fast development these days because of its highperformance and low pollution The nickel electrode strongly influences theperformance of the MH/N1 battery because the capacity of the battery is generallydesigned to be limited by the mckel electrode Whereas there is a great advance in thecapability of the hydrogen storage alloys, preparing the high-capacity nickelhydroxide electrodes which can match with MH electrodes becomes the key of thedevelopment of the MH/N1 battery There are two types of mckel hydroxlde electrodein the MH/N1 battery,sinter-type and paste-type Compared with the conventionalsintered nickel hydroxide electrode, the paste-type electrode has many advantages,such as simpler technical condltions, lower cost and higher energy densityIn this work, we have focused on the development of the high-performance nickelhydroxide electrode by the annealing treatment and electroless deposition The effectsof the anneallng treatment and the electroless deposition on the X-ray diffraction(XRD), Cyclic voltammetry and Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) etcalso have been investigated Constant-current charge and discharge expenmentsindicate that these methods can enhance the electric conductivity and the utilization ofthe active material of the electrode In addition, the annealing treatment caneffectively improve the cyclic stability of the nickel hydroxide electrode...
