The freeway surface property was researched in this paper with time domain and frequency domain method. Quarter-truck vehicle model with two degree of freedom was used in time domain analysis .The dynamic loading was simulated point by point with the freeway roughness as the system input. The loading was researched for LTPP models. The frequency domain method was used in the Power Spectral Density analysis of the roughness data of sixteen LTPP test sections. The PSD of different sections and the different lanes of the same section were compared in this research. The PSD of same lane in different time was also compared in this research.
