Intelligent Vehicle is hot in the mobile robot fields now. It is a system on environment sensing, planning, controlling and executing, hi this paper, the author presents his research result in this field. All the research was based on the NRIIV robot.The NJUST Robotic Institute Intelligent Vehicle (NRHV) has a hierarchical control architecture that integrates sensing, navigation, classification and mission planning. In this paper, the structure and functionality of the three-tiered NRETV are detailed.The position technology based on GPS is also important in NRIFV. The author gives the method on exactitude position in this paper.Route tracking is the most important technology for a excellent motion to the objective. It is also the soul of this paper. In this paper the strategy of route tracking is detailed. The experimental results show that the strategy is viable.
