In this paPer, two unbonded prestressed concrete beam-column jointassemblies(one assemble represents an interior joint While the other is an exteriorjoint ) are tested tmder combined action of vertical load and reversed cyclic lateralload. Based on the analysis of the histeretic force-displacement characteristics'ofthese two assemblies, the seismic behavior of connections is explored in folloWngaspects: transform caPacity energy dissipating caPacity, ductility and stiffnessdeterioration etc. Based on the development of cracks and strains in the reinforcementetc., the failure mechanism of the two joints under reversed cyclic load is analyzed.A nonlinear full-range analysis is performed on the deformation of the interiorassembly taking i4to account the contribution of shear defOrmation of the core.Theoretical results agree well with the experimental ones.
