The limiting level during flood season in real-time reservoir dispatching is such an important and sensitive index that it affects directly how to solve reasonably the contradiction between reservoir's flood-control and it's benefit. So it is very urgent to describe a reservoir's flood season, to define reasonably it's limiting level, to find a real-time control method of limiting level and to establish an appropriate control model of limiting level. A detailed analysio or study on description of reservoir's flood season, theories and methods of definition of limiting level and application in the real-time reservoir's dispatching was given in this thesis. In the thesis, some advantages and disadvantages in the application of common assembly theory method and fuzzy assembly theory method was also discussed and a concept of "would-be flood season" of reservoirs was presented. A description method of "reservoir would-be flood season" using an sample of Cha'ersen reservoir was presented. A dynamic control method for reservoir limiting level during "would-be flood season" was presented and a fuzzy and optimizing model was formulated for calculating dynamic values of reservoir limiting level during "would-be flood season" by application of fuzzy and optimizing theory.
