Fielclbus technology, which is the result of field control technology combined with modern electron, computer and communication technology, has been one of the hotest topics in control fields nowadays, and it has a good fame of 'LAN' in automation. Fieldbus builds up interconnections among field instruments and field control units by providing a wholly digital, bi-directional and multi-variant communication path, which has no i only greatly improved the reliability and ability of anti-disturbance, but also sharply reduces the costs of installation and routine maintenance.CAN (Controller Area Bus) belongs to the asynchronous communication network. Due to its special frame structure, bus access method and error-tolerance technology, CAN enjoys good reliability, flexibility and response time.CAN, GSM-SMS (Short Message Service) technology are used in AMR ( Automatic-Meter-Reading) system, thanks to the opto-isolation circuit and software filtering algorithm, the AMR system can be free of the serious disturbance in power station, which has won user's satisfaction.There are five parts in this paper. At the beginning, the development and catalogue of fieldbus technology are introduced, and then the characteristics of CAN fieldbus are described in detail, finally, the key technical points to the AMR system design based on CAN are given. |
