In this paper the Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC) and Corrosion Fatigue (CF) characteristics of LC4 high super high aluminum alloy has been investigated in detail by means of testing technical analysis. The influences of corrosion environment on the fatigue and fracture behaviors of LC4 aluminum alloy are studied by testing. The testing results show that LC4 aluminum alloy is much sensitive to aggressive environment. The existence of corrosion environment will greatly decrease the fatigue and fracture strength of the steel. It comes to the conclusion that the corrosion fatigue fracture of LC4 aluminum alloy is the results of combined action of anodic dissolution, hydrogen embitterment (HE) and mechanical damage. The n some calculation methods for corrosion fatigue crack ignition and propagation are put forward. By comparing the practical calculation with the test result, it indicates that these methods are feasible. They can provide scientific basis for the damage tolerance design and life span evaluation of home-made aircraft structure materials in aggressive environment conditions. The data and curves obtained from test can. test can provide valuable reference for engineering design. |
