Generation unit' s maintenance is important to the safe production of the power system, and project planning by network graph can improve the efficiency of the maintenance.But the job to make network planning and draw network-planning graph is complicate. Commonly, in the power generation companies the network graph is made by hand or by using software like AUTOCAD, but making graphs by this method is a very hard job that takes much time and is easy to make mistakes. On the other hand, graphs made by hand are difficult to update as quickly as the changes of the projects.To solve this problem, computer technology is applied. There have been some kind of software designed outside China which is very powerful but is not very appropriate to the projects like units' maintenance.The methods presented by the domestic researchers are partly useful by using AUTOCAD, but they still didn' t achieve to draw graphs automatically.In this paper, there are mainly two new innovative points:1. A searching algorithm is used to generate a network graph for generation unit' s maintenance by computer automatically after the sequence of the tasks is given.2. A vectorgraph system is designed to draw network graph. Vectorgraph has many advantages to draw graph, such as zoom graph without loss of graph' s quality. And vectorgraph is also good to build C++ classes and to use 00.Software based on these is also introduced in this paper. The application of this,software in Hunjiang power generation company has shown that it is easy to make network graphs by this software quickly, correctly, and the graph made by this software is easy to update. The application also proves that the efficiency of the maintenance can be improved obviously by using this software.
