With the various development of large scale vibrating mechanicals such as vibrating screen, the assumption to utilize compressed air as power source has evoked much concern. The research on vibrators has become an important subject relating with vibrating equipment. This thesis presents a valve controlled pneumatic vibrating system, a feasible solution to the problem above, which will have great prospect in its application.Pneumatic has many advantages. First, it is compressible and cushiony; second, it can be transported to a long distance with a little power loss; the last, its flux and velocity of flow are quite high, so the reaction time of the operators can been considerably shortened. Aiming to solve the problems of vibrating machinery such as short life-span, poor cushion and high energy consumption, the writer, on the basis of characteristic of pneumatic mentioned, contrives a set of valve controlled pneumatic vibrator, which has larger output vibrating force and longer life-span with simple structure. Then, it is applied to drive a vibrating screen and the result is fairly well. When modeling and simulating the whole system, the writer divides the periodical change of valve into many segments. With the method of power bond graph, the writer deduces the state equations of the system, which converting the substantial model into mathematical model. In the simulation, the writer uses Matlab as the programming language. Through relative interface, the programming work has been greatly reduced. On the other hand, the efficiency and universality of the program are enhanced. In order to analyze the characteristics of the system with more precision and details, the writer designs a set of experimental equipment and a special computer testing system as well. After a serial of experiments under various conditions, by analyzing the results of simulations and experiments, the correctness of mathematical model is verified. On the basis of aboundant simulations and experiments, the writer carries out a lot of theoretic researches and analysis on the system. Finally, some helpful conclusions are drawn. In the conclusion and expectation, the writer concludes all the innovations the thesis possesses. According to the problems encountered during the experiments and researches, a number of proposals for the further study are presented.
