Based on the analysis of the development of oversea ballistic missile and cruise missile, a conceptual design of a certain missile with full-distance control, supersonic, high trajectory, is presented in this paper, which is aimed to improve the hit precision and penetration capability of the short-range surface to surface missile. The aerodynamic layout, propulsion system, trajectory system and guidance system are discussed according to the technical requirements.Firstly, the conventional configuration is determined by comparing two aerodynamic layouts. Then geometric parameters are optimized using the Complex Optimization algorithm and the aerodynamic parameters are calculated in detail.Secondly, according to the characteristic of short-range surface to surface missile, solid rocket motor is selected as the power system. Single-chamber dual-thrust and single-chamber single-thrust are calculated and compared. Some important parameters such as thrust, working time, fuel consumption, are designed.Thirdly, a new trajectory consisting of climbing phase, approximately level flight phase, diving phase is presented with reference to the trajectory pattern of cruise missile. The particle trajectory model and particle-system trajectory model are built. The launching angle and trajectory pitch angle are optimized. The fin deflection angle of particle-system trajectory and amplification coefficient are designed. Attacking ability is improved with high trajectory, supersonic terminal penetration tactics. Consequently, "strapdown inertial navigation systems (SINS) + terminal guidance" are selected as the guidance system to improve precision. Finally, the 3D simulation of the whole flight process is developed with the tool of Multigen Vega scene simulation software. The simulation result demonstrates that this project is feasible. With the characteristics of light weight, low cost, simple structure and advanced guidance, this full-distance control surface to surface missile will definitely become an effective short-range weapon to attack defense systems.
