Shaanxi Provincial Expressway Its Planning Studies

ITS, On the base of quite perfect road facilities, utilize advanced technology such as electronics, informatics, sensory, computer networking, controlling and systems engineering to unify people, vehicles and roads to form a real-time, accurate and high efficient multiple transportation management system. It is the essential requirements of information socialized economy and technology development. In addition, it is the fundamental way to solve traffic problems. This paper analyzes the present plan, construction and management of Shaanxi province's expressway network . Then, considering the main problems existed now and applying the theory of traffic plan and ITS, the author puts forward general ideas and management organization framework of Shaaxi province's expressway network ITS plan, focally expound the system frame of ITS traffic management and information sub systems. According to the politics, economy, geography and climate features of expressway network of Shaanxi province, this paper also discuss the network composition and technology plan of three machinery and power-generating equipment systems communication, toll collection and monitor system. At last, from project investment and profit perspective, this paper make a investment estimation and put forward the implementation plans. All of these research work have an important direction significance and will give some helps to the plan, design and implementation of Shaaxi province's modern expressway facilities in the future.
