Computer-aided Design System For Highway Sound Barriers

In order to develop the highway sound barrier technology and improve the design level, this paper has a study on developing the computer aided design system for the sound barrier. Based on the existing road traffic noise forecast models and sound barrier design theories at home and abroad, the distribute and contour principle has been discussed systematically for the sound pressure on roadside. Then the corresponding CAD has been developed secondly on the AutoCAD drawing platform with the fashionable programming language VB 6.0 (SP4). As a result, a CAD applied software about the road sound barrier has been completed with friendly interface and operating convenience, having functions of data process, scheme design and scheme assessment, realizing the generation of forecast automatically and design on sound barrier on roadside in a reasonable way.
