In the designing of fan, besides some structure sizes and performance parameters must be met, efficiency or noise object or both objects is always expected. This is one object design or multi-objective design of fan. Because of large work and ambiguity object of traditional design, I used optimum design in the paper.The optimum design of this paper is divided into two parts, one is mathematics optimum design, the other is experiment optimum design. Eight parameters which affecting pressure-efficiency as well as pneumatic noise of fan are Impeller-Diameter. Impeller-Portal-Diameter, Lamina-Portal-Angle, Lamina-Export-Angle, Volute-Width, Volute-Export-Length, Lamina-Number and flux. So those eight parameters are selected as Design-Variables in mathematics optimum design. The restriction condition has fifteen inequality restrictions and one equality restriction.Analyzing the model of Optimum Design of fan, "Powell-Sumt" serves as the optimum method and "Estimation-Function"as the multi-objective optimum method.Experiment optimum design is which optimizes these secondary factors. The experiment has three factors and the level number of which is more than five, so I used symmetrical design method.We got a new model centrifugal fan by the mathematics optimum design, experiment optimum design, lots of mathematics calculation and regress calculation in the paper. The efficiency of this new fan is increased 6.44% and the noise is reduced 4.78dB than that of the original fan.
