The design and appliance of high power density of electric drive system is researched in this thesis. The system involves four parts, high power density motor, low harmonic variable frequency power supply, cooling system of oil fountain with high temperature and high pressure and the online testing of the dynamic parameters. The research is focused on the loss and heat of the motor, the structure design and the cooling problem. Aiming at the characteristics of great capacity, small volume and light weight, a cooling structure of stator-rotor double oil path is presented. And the testing of the motor result is analyzed. Also the mechanism of production of high harmonic and the effect to the motor are analyzed in the variable frequency power supply, a method of eliminating the high harmonic is advanced utilizing the technology of SPWM and reconfiguration. Finally the method is simulated.
