Reverse engineering acts as one of important roles in area of design and manufacturing. Data capturing and preprocessing are key techniques in reverse engineering. ATOS is a system for data capturing in reverse engineering. Due to its high efficiency of capturing and simple operation, it has became one of leading measuring systems in reverse engineering. The capturing data usually needed to be preprocessed as the noise and incomplete data. Filtering is a common method for smoothing the triangular meshes of measuring data. This paper mainly contains the following:1) This paper researches the cause of noise in measurement using ATOS system and the characteristic of different noise. This paper gives out some measures against noises in measurement.2) This paper researches the series of Laplacian filter methods and develops the program. After comparing different effects of these methods on different mesh models, this paper gives out their application field. This paper also analyses the factors which affect the filtering with help of orthogonal experiment approach.3) This paper realizes three other filter methods and analyses their different results.4) This paper proposes two improved methods base on analyzing the series of Laplacian filter. The improved methods keep shape or feature while smoothing the mesh. |
