| This paper is the results of a 3 year research program for sprag overrunning clutch. It introduces research background of the paper, research states of in home and abroad, major research content, classifying and operating principle of sprag overrunning clutch. A method is discussed for sprag overrunning clutches design, including configuration design, force analysis and FEA. A computer program is developed and applied to the h-tech project. It is emphasized that described test techniques, test demonstration method means and results of the research program. Designed sprag overrunning clutch is key component between output of gas jump-start engine and input of jet engine. This paper also introduces sprag overrunning clutch to be applied in transmission system of rotor aero-craft. |
