Mechanical position sensors of BLDCM have several drawbacks, such as low reliability, high cost and usage limitation in some environments, so the experts focus on the sensorless control techniques.Based on analyzing and summarizing some problems existing in former BLDCM control system, we introduce one kind of sensorless control system for brushless DC motor based on DSP. This topic discusses the back-EMF zero-crossing detection, the method of phase judging and compensation in detail. In order to improve the speeding performance we adopt the digital closed-loop speed control strategy. The system adopt more reasonable software structure instead of the former complicated hardware circuit, and get better performance.Experimental results show that the motor has steady start station, speed adjust smoothly, good load ability, and these techniques can be used in some field.
