In this paper, two-dimensional unsteady and non-symmetric internal nozzle flow fields are simulated by method of characteristics. Changeful curves of side force that followed time in nozzle is first obtained.First, unsteady and non-symmetric internal flow fields of rocket divergent nozzle is simulated by butler's developed the pentahedral bicharacteristic line network. Changeful curves of side force of conical nozzle and double-circular nozzle are obtained. Second, many influent elements of thrust misalignment are analyzed, good agreement is shown between unsteady results of this paper and former results. At last, numerical simulation of subsonic, transonic and supersonic flow fields of nozzle are calculated. This method overcomes deflects of three-dimensional method of characteristics. At last, changeful curves of thrust misalignment followed pressure and time are obtained.The numerical modeling scheme used in this paper is suitable for variable nozzle wall and other complex shape objects and is simpler than other methods. In a word, this embodies its superiority.The results indicate the network method applied to research of thrust misalignment is feasible and correct and display changeful curves of side force followed time(pressure). In a word, the researches provide strong computation methods for design of mini-thrust misalignment nozzle.
