Entrance - The Entry Point Of The Architectural Form

When the Architect design a item, he will make sure the place of entrance according to the fact of base firstly. When he thought the space form of architecture, he must consider the entrance because it is the joint of space between inside and outside and will influence the shape of architecture. And the experience of architecture by people and the sequence of space always accomplish through the transform of given space time .In a lot of factors of the space sequence, the most important one is the entry, it is not only the prelude of the inside-space sequence and arouse the mans vision settled and do people saw again and again, the center of the composition of a picture of outsider-space ,but also is the keystone of the form of architecture .So, the way of design which begin from part to whole, microcosmic to macrocosm, and follow the way that part submit to whole, individuality submit to commonness, the function have precedence over the form make the architect more and more think much of the design of the entrance of architecture, whether succeed of the design of entry influence the wholly shape of building .So, I selected the entry as the object of my study, discussed the relation between the entrance and the form of architecture from the angle of space especially.I try to discuss two problems proceed with space in the article:1.How to make the entry assort with architecture and its form specially and catch one' s eye.2.How to design start with the entry, adjust the relation between the part and the whole, deal with the space sequence of building and use the language of architecture to strengthen the whole, and finish the process of design which from the part to the whole.There are three parts in the article:Preface: the relation between the entrance and the form of architecture. As the opening piece, the purpose and signification of the research is discussed and thesame problem the former studied is introduced in the chapter.The second chapter: the function of entrance in designingof architecture.The effect the form of architecture by entrance on the space divided and created, the center of space removed, exterior environmental fitted and created is discussed particular from the form of space, environment and exterior in the chapter.The third chapter: the way of whole design discussed .As the keystone of the article, we try to find the means of the integrated design through analysis the example from the form of building and the relation between entrance and form of architecture.Architecture is a colligated art of space. Only do we consolidate the part and the whole of architecture, it will be more afford for thought of art' s charm. Entrance is indispensability factor of building, it is keystone of forming the sequence space and control the transform of differ space. We always saw a lot of building which is deviated from environment, function and logic of construction, it is short of notion of space, not comply with the rule of construction, so it damaged the integrality of architecture.In the article, I study the relation between entrance and the form of architecture, definitude the influence to the form of building by entrance' space, and try to offer an operational method of integrated design , and want to provide reference to design the form of architecture and space inside and outside.
