Soft Soil Construction Control

Contract No.5 and No. 6 of joint road to Yellow river bridge from Jiaozuo to Gongyi is built on the YiLuo River alluvial flat soft clay base in Henan province. The total length dealed with pack drain is 1384 meters. To guarantee project quality and summarize the deformation rules of the alluvial flat soft clay base under embankment, 15 representative section is selected , 38 settlement plats, 7 inclinometer tubes and 15 border pile are set. The observation has been lasting more than two years from construction to precompression term and more than twenty thousand dates are obtained. Aiming at the characteristic of alluvial flat soft clay, the methods that control construction and the time of precompression term are put forward. The application of these research conclusions in this project shows the control methods are correct.
